I don’t usually leave reviews but i had to because of the way we were recently taken care of. I totally recommend this dental office it’s hard to find trust worthy dental providers in NY but this is one of them. I went with my mom who is super scared of the dentist and and the whole team was really nice and welcoming. Dr.tenzer was gentle and answered all of her concerns . Wait time was a bit long but we were late and they completely understood. Ericka the assistant was so patient with my mom explained everything, and kept checking on her the whole time during the procedure. My mom is usually so anxious to the point she’s terrified of dentists and she was actually calm for once 😭 you can tell they both really care about patients and making them comfortable definitely made the experience way better for us. Thank you city smiles from now on will be getting my cleanings here.
I used to be extremely afraid of going to the dentist—it always felt like a nightmare, and the doctors seemed to speak another language. That all changed when I went to City Smiles Dental.
From the moment I walked in, the front desk staff was full of energy and very welcoming. One of the receptionists helped me complete my new patient paperwork and clearly explained the entire process. Then the assistant brought me in for X-rays and was very gentle.
The hygienist, Al, was AMAZING—so gentle, caring, and informative. He taught me the proper way to floss and gave me really helpful techniques I can actually use.
After my cleaning, the doctor came in for the exam and explained everything in a way I could understand. They answered all my questions and reassured me that the treatment process would be smooth. I also spoke with the treatment planner, who was incredibly kind and patient. She explained my out-of-pocket costs, what my insurance would cover, and went over financing options without making me feel rushed at all.
I was honestly a mess going in, but now I’m so grateful to have found a dental office that makes me feel comfortable and reassured.
The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because the office could use a bit of a makeover—but other than that, I highly recommend them!

I appreciate their professionalism in caring for my teeth including cleanings, fillings, extractions, implants, braces and emergencies. The staff from the the front desk to the dentist have always treated me with kindness and care. I have tried other dentist offices but Coop City Smiles Dental is my best experience.

This was my second visit to this office. Dr. Joseph Tran is incredibly warm and knowledgeable. I have never had such a great experience with a dentist as I have with him. He is always so receptive and diligent with his work. You can tell he really takes to heart the quality of service he provides. The office staff in general are awesome as well. So warm and friendly. I highly recommend this location to anyone in need of a general dentist.
I am extremely scared of dentists and have always had a bad phobia because of past experiences. But I decided to check out City Smiles Dental because I needed some work done, and I’m so glad I did. I went in for a root canal with Dr. Steven, who completely understood my anxiety and how much I was dreading the needles and pain. To my surprise, I felt nothing, I barely even felt the anesthetic being applied! Dr. Steven has an amazing bedside manner and kept checking to make sure I was comfortable the entire time. Before I knew it, the procedure was over. Don’t let the rudeness from the front desk receptionist get to you, (can't remember her name at the moment) once you’re in the chair, you’ll be in great hands.

If I could give City Smiles 10 stars I would. I paid for a multiple tooth extraction process & partial bottom dentures out of pocket because I don’t insurance and it was worth every penny. Everyone was extremely friendly, from the front desk, the assistants and the dentist. I continue to recommend people I know and I will also do all my future cleanings and procedures with City Smiles. I highly recommend City Smiles. The staff are friendly and efficient. I observed that to them the patient's safety, care and comfort are paramount. Dr. Tran made my visits stress-free. He was gentle, highly competent and very professional. His assessment of the appropriate treatment to follow was right on point and explained it to me in a straightforward manner. Quite frankly, it is refreshing to find a doctor like Dr. Tran with a love for the dentistry profession and the well being of his patients.
Dentist visit can kinda be stressful And I’ve had my issues with understanding insurance in the past and having a need for additional follow up visits but after being with them for two years and having them handle my COVID issues with root canals and extractions and cleanings I would choose them again schedule allowing . They can accommodate and also help you with dental education and mouth hygiene stuff and they have a good team of assistants and receptionists that are attentive , communicative and have super high standards for provided clear and exceptional service. The building and waiting room is clean and I don’t have to dread my visits here.

I've been going to City Smiles for years. Let me say. I am terrified of going to the dentist but here at City smiles they are very patient make you feel comfortable and the visits are always pleasant. Dr Tenzel and the other dentist really care about you as a patient, and person. They explain every procedure and always make sure you are comfortable during any procedure. If you are looking for a great dentist to go to you will be happy at City smiles , I am and I smile everyday.

With city smiles dental in coop city, I have a positive experience overall. I must give a special shoutout to Bianca at the front desk for her exceptional customer service. She is incredibly friendly, kind, and goes above and beyond to ensure a smooth and welcoming experience for all customers. Bianca truly enhances the overall visit with her professionalism and care.
The dentist and hygienist at the office are also great, providing excellent care and service. While the office can get quite busy due to their stellar team, they do a good job of managing wait times and getting patients in and out efficiently. However, at times, the appointments can feel a bit rushed. Personally, I value quality care over quick appointments and would appreciate a more unhurried approach to my treatment and care plan. With my Invisalign, the 1st scan of my teeth didn't go to well. The girl didn't seem to be too experienced with it. I called after my appointment to express my concerns. And once I received my trays it felt off but the dentist was rushing and I don't think I received the attention this needed. Now, 6 months into the process I had to redo the scan and get a whole new set of trays. I figured this is what was needed from the beginning but my teeth are making some progress in the meantime.
I am learning to advocate for myself and ask questions to ensure I receive the proper care I need. Despite this, I had a good experience overall at the dentist office. Bianca's exceptional service truly stood out and made the visit memorable. She is the best!
